Catalogue Note

The ivory carving department opened its doors in 1912. Moshe Murro (1888-1957) studied at Bezalel from 1921 and established the Kamea craft shop for carving in stone and ivory. He was considered the most gifted artist in this department. His works are held in the Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
