Condition

The colour of the wood is less reddish brown and the gilding is more golden and attractive than in the photograph . Minor tarnishing to mounts, which are good quality, which could benefit from a light clean according to taste. There is a small chip to the front right moulded edge beneath the top. There is a vertical hairline crack down the right side and another down the left, which will need filling. There is cracquelure to the veneer generally, especially to the front surface and columns and patches to veneer on top drawer. There is a horizontal crack running along the fall-front which will need refilling. The right capitol is loose and needs repinning. Some minor chips to veneer. In need of some attention to the veneer. Once restored it will look very attractive. SALEROOM NOTICE Please note that this piece is stamped along top edge of the fall-front, 'L.DERUELLE'.
