in the manner of Marcion, with a later rectangular pale green granite top, above a frieze drawer, the fall-front with a leather inset writing surface, concealing nine drawers and pigeon holes, flanked by neo-classical male terms, above two drawers with lion mask ring-pull handles, on block feet

Condition

The colour is slightly less red and more natural and attractive than in the photograph. There is very nice detail to the casting of the mounts. The fall-front is slightly warped and there is a small bubble in the veneer. Some wear to handles. On the right side there is some bubbling to the veneer as on the en-suite commode (lot 96), which is probably due to the internal construction. Old very minor marks, chips and scratches, especially to the feet. Attractive flaming to mahogany. In overall good condition.
