the veined white marble top with a pierced gallery above a gilt-bronze beaded and draperied edge, over an interlaced frieze with a drawer, on fluted turned legs, joined by a satinwood undertier; partially remounted and drawers relined
Catalogue Note
This console closely resembles a model by Claude-Charles Saunier (1734-1807), received master in 1752, who was working under the directives of Daguerre, himself supplier to the courts of Europe.
