Louis XVI, late 18th century

with a ribbon-tied white enamel dial with Roman numerals within an arched case surmounted by a neo-classical urn, draped with acorn and oak leaf swags, flanked by scrolled corbels, the sides with further fruiting and foliate swags, on a shaped white marble base, the front with a panel depicting addorsed eagle heads terminating in scrolling foliage and cornucopiae, flanked by roundels enclosing flowerheads, on tapering lunette and leaf cast feet
