A gilt-bronze-mounted Chinese blue porcelain vase and cover Régence, first quarter 18th century

with a hexagonal cover cast with trapezoids with a stippled ground and a foliate finial, above a lobed neck, the handles in the form of scrolled acanthus corbels with a male mask, above a baluster body, the hexagonal base cast with rui motifs  

The colour of the blue is slightly darker and gilding more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. The gilt-bronze is a little dirty and would benefit from a light clean according to taste. Some pitting and firing flaws to porcelain which are usual. An attractive lot in otherwise good condition.
