Catalogue Note
Arundel Castle in West Sussex was a favorite location for Copley Fielding and he documented the castle and it's park on several occasions. The original fortification was begun during the reign of Edward the Confessor (c.1003-1066). Since then, the castle has been home to several families (with brief and few reversions to the Crown) and is now the principal seat of the Duke of Norfolk and his family.
