Etienne Drian

A set of eighteen panels by Drian, of comparable design to the present group, were sold:  Sotheby's New York, 20th Century Decorative Arts, March 11, 2004, as lot 221.  The footnote details how the panels were part of a larger commission executed by Drian for the New York City residence of Millicent Hearst (Mrs Randolph Hearst) at Sherry's Hotel, 300 Park Avenue.
