A Red Sandstone Figure of a deity, Central India , 10th/11th Century

The plump figure with pronounced pot belly adorned in necklaces and foliate armbands bearing a shrivatsa on the chest.  This work was possibly part of a larger composition depicting the dasavataras of Vishnu or it may represent an attendant deity that would have been part of larger panel related to a central Vishnu image
