the rectangular grey veined marble top above a frieze drawer and a fall front inlaid with a hunting scene surrounded by foliate trails and scrolls opening to form a writing surface and reveal a fitted interior, the cupboard doors below inlaid with hunting trophies within a foliate cartouche, enclosing a single shelf above two short drawers and a coffre fort.

A comparable secrétaire à abattant by Wolff belonging to the late E. C. P. Lascelles and the Property of Miss A. L. Lascelles, removed from Woolbeding house, Sussex, was sold, Sotheby's, London, Decemeber 11, 1970, lot 56.
