The Percier and Fontaine design, incorporates not only identical lion-carved supports, but also nearly identical turned and leaf-carved back supports and fringe beneath the seat rail, see plate 6, Recueil de Décorations Intérieures, Comprenant Tout Ce Qui a rapport a l'ameublement, Paris, 1827, inscribed Fauteuil et Vases éxécutés à Paris dans la Maison du C.D***
