Description

  • height 16 1/2 in. (41.9cm)
each finely painted on the front with figures in a landscape reserved within a rectangular panel, the reverse decorated in richly tooled and burnished gilding with a either a violinist or a bagpiper and the sides reserved with narrow panels of gilt neoclassical foliate motifs, set on each side of the shoulder with a winged  caryatid handle, raised on waisted circular footed and mounted on a square marble base. Minor restoration to one handle.
