Catalogue Note

Clément Rousseau created some of the most sumptuous furniture of the Art Deco era. He studied under Léon Morice and was a frequent exhibitor and medal winner at the Salons of the Société des Artisties Français from 1921. Working for a limited number of wealthy clients, including the Rothschilds, his output was small and he was among the designers commisioned in 1925 to furnish the celebrated studio of Jacques Doucet in Neuilly.
