Catalogue Note
In 1930 Ruhlmann was commissioned by the Cité Universitaire Internationale de Paris to produce simple furniture for the student dormitories. He was one of a number of internationally renowned designers who worked on the project: Le Corbusier oversaw the Swiss and Brazilian houses, Cambodia by Boris Lacroix and the provinces of France by Printz, Jallot and Ruhlmann.
