For another example of a Donegal carpet of this design, see: Malcolm Haslam, Arts and Crafts Carpets, London, 1991, p.106, fig. 67.  Fig. 68 ibid. illustrates a photograph from The Studio magazine, Special Summer Number, 1901, showing a pair of Donegal carpets of this design at Dixcot, a house built in 1900 for the wallpaper manufacturer Raleigh Essex.  This design was a popular one for the Donegal factory as it exists in other colourways and sizes, see: M Haslam, op. cit. p.98, fig. 62 and pp108 & 9, figs. 69 and 70 for examples.  For a another example in a different colourway, recently sold in these rooms, see: Sotheby's London, Fine Carpets,  5 April, 2006, lot 149 .
