  • 241cm. 7ft. 11in. high
14-inch painted dial with gilt and polychrome corners, signed Richd: Dennett, St Helens, with colourful birds at the centre and subsidiary dials for calendar and seconds, the arch with a painted moon disc  behind detailed hemispheres, iron falseplate signed Willm. Whitaker, Halifax, rack and bell striking movement, the case with blind swan neck cresting and turned terminals, fluted hood pillars, the trunk inlaid with a band of flower marquetry, well figured double gothic arched door flanked by similar pillars, the plinth with angled corners and inlaid with a circular band of contrasting wood, further inlay throughout, bracket feet
