5-inch silvered dial signed Joseph Sewill, 61 South Castle St. Liverpool, Maker to the Admiralty No.5019, with subsidiary dials for seconds and up/down and further engraved with crowned garters for Prize Medals 1867 and International Exhibition 1862, gold hands, the fusee and chain movement No.7458 with spotted plates, maintaining power and Earnshaw's detent escapement with compensation balance, free sprung helical spring and balance guard, within a similarly numbered brass bowl case gimbal fitted to a three tier brass bound mahogany case with flush fitting side handle and applied with an ivory tablet inscribed Joseph Sewill, 8 Days, 5019; mainspring broken
