  • COCKSCOMB AND CHRYSANTHEMUM
  • hanging scroll; ink and colour on paper
Gao dated the second lunar month of the twenty-first year, 1932, spring, with inscription stating that the chrysanthemum was done by Chen Shuren while the cockscomb was done by himself, and three seals of Gao, and two collectors' seals, including one of Kuang Shanxiao (1909-1976), a renowned Chinese opera actor and Cantonese collector. Annotations on mounting by Zhao Shao'ang (1905-1998) and Yang Shanshen (1913-2004), both dated bing wu, 1966
