A WELL CARVED INLAID ZITAN TABLE STAND
Qing Dynasty, 18th Century
in the form of a miniature daybed, the backrest reticulated and carved with archaistic scrolling designs, and inlaid with a central square jade panel centred by a lingzhi sprig, flanked by a pair of fan-shaped jade panels, the armrests similarly decorated and inlaid with a pierced circular jade medallion enclosing narcissus blooms amid leafy stems and lingzhi fungus, the waisted rectangular stand supported on four bow legs resting on a rectangular stretcher, the splayed apron and edges inlaid in silver wire with 'C'-shaped scrolls, lotus scrolls and florets, the wood dark brown in tone
