A miniature famille-rose 'landscape' table screen mark and period of Qianlong

skillfully modelled in the form of a table screen, the rectangular tablet painted with a tranquil mountain landscape scene depicting two small figures amid pine trees and other lush vegetation issuing from huge shoulders, with jagged mountain peaks rising high and fading into the distance under a bright orange sun, all within a gilt border and reserved against a faux-marble ground, the reverse similarly decorated, the central panel enclosing a five-column inscription ending with the double seal Qian Long in iron-red, the faux-bois stand with an oblong panel reticulated and carved with a bat amid scrolling clouds highlighted in gilt, the kui dragon supports, splayed apron and scroll feet all embellished with giltwork
