of archaistic gu form, the globular central section supported on a high bell-shaped foot and surmounted by a tall widely flaring trumpet neck, brightly and finely painted around the body with the bajixiang amid large lotus blooms on dense scrolling leafy stems, betwen stiff plantain leaves and keyfret bands, with ruyi-heads around the mouth with gilt rim, all reserved on an orange-coral ground, the base of the neck with a six-character iron-red seal mark, the interior and foot glazed turquoise
