of rectangular section, the pear-shaped vase resting on a straight foot rising to a wide neck with indented corners, the shoulders flanked by a pair of angular lug handles, moulded with raised peach-shaped panels on both sides, applied overall with a thick crimson-red glaze streaked with vivid lavender-blue, draining away from the sides and mouthrim to reveal a fine grey crackle, the base dressed with a mottled coffee-coloured glaze and impressed with the six-character seal mark
