the jardiniere of slightly tapered cylindrical form, the exterior painted overall with crimson-tipped pink prunus blossoms on a deep blue ground with a gilt embellished 'cracked ice' pattern, divided into three horizontal bands by two raised flanges, the middle band with four circular ruyi bordered panels, each with a single character, the four together reading wan nian jia zi, the potted plant finely carved with flowering white jade and orange-red agate lily blooms amid long spinach jade leaves
