Description

the four sides with trapezoid panels finely painted in underglaze blue, two with butterflies fluttering above peony and chrysanthemum, the others with magnolia, prunus and bamboo, the raised borders and flattened rim painted in doucai enamels with red and yellow lotus bloooms on a green and purple meandering leafy scroll, the slightly sunken base with a hole for drainage around which the four-character mark is painted in the form of a coin in underglaze-blue
