Description

intricately carved in openwork in the form of a long fishing boat, surmounted by a rectangular cabin, supporting the mast and boom, the other ends resting on a platform over the stern, the sail hanging over the end, with four figures at the stern together with a chicken and a cat, the helmsman on the roof of the cabin hauling in a net whilst at the tiller next to another figure laying out a shirt to dry, and four more on the foredeck with a dog, a four pronged anchor at both bow and stern, drifting on gentle waves with a duck swimmng on each side, the stone of a pale celadon-white tone with small areas of russet inclusions
