A white jade 'ding' with cover and stand Qing dynasty, Qianlong Period

of rectangular section, standing on four tapering pillared feet, the body carved with archaistic designs, and 'taotie' masks decorating the legs, rising to a sharply-cut raised mouth rim flanked by two ears, the cover surmounted by a writhing qilong amid cloud swirls, its facial features and scaly body well incised, encircled with a keyfret border, the stone of a bright white tone throughout, the carved stand of spinach-green tone supported on four flared ruyi feet
