the exterior finely carved in relief with a continuous mountain landscape scene, depicting a scholar and sage in discussion on a rocky outcrop, with two attendants close by, pointing out a pavillion tucked behind a rocky slope across a wide wooded valley filled with trees including bamboo, pine and a large willow, with a man and boy floating downstream on a boat below, with fitted hardwood rim and base with four short feet
