Description
the tall cylindrical body slightly tapering to a short straight foot, with two low moulded handles below the high shoulders, with a wide waisted neck, applied overall with a characteristic but strongly marked glaze composed of deep blue and pale turquoise splashes

A vase of this type in Taiwan was included in the Special Exhibition of K'ang-hsi, Yung-cheng and Ch'ien-lung Porcelain Ware from the Ch'ing Dynasty in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, 1986, cat.no.93; another is illustrated in Regina Krahl, Chinese Ceramics from the Meiyintang Collection, London, 1994, vol.2, no.923; and one in the Jingdezhen Ceramic Museum is published in Keitokuchin jiki, Tokyo, 1982, pl.88 bottom left.
