after an ivory by John Michael Rysbrack, modelled with head turned slightly to the right, a laurel wreath in his hair, wearing armour with lion's head shoulder-pieces, a medallion hanging from a wide ribbon around his neck, partially concealing the Garter star, raised on a square base with ribbed and beaded borders
