Description

  • sceptre marks and medallion with crowned eagle in underglaze-blue, KPM and orb stencilled in iron-red, * painters mark in blue
  • tray 42.5cm., 16¾ in.
each piece painted with a named topographical view within shaped cartouches with moulded gilt-scroll borders reserved against a pale blue ground, gilt with stylised scroll and foliage ornaments, comprising:
a coffee can and cover: Palais des Kronprinzen; Burg Hohenzollern
a mocca pot and cover: Garison Kirche in Potsdam; Die neue Kirche in Berlin
a milk jug and cover: Pfalz; Lurley
a sugar bowl and cover: Opernhaus in Berlin; Schauspielhaus in Berlin
a cup: Palais d. Prinzen Carl.; Palais d. Prinzen Albrecht
a saucer: Schloss Mombijou; Schloss Bellevue
a tray: Königl: Schloss in Berlin; Palais des Königs in Berlin
