Description
- interlaced LL monograms enclosing date letter E and painter's mark N in blue, the base incised 5, painted collector's mark N76 to base of vase
- 19.1cm., 7 1/2 in. high
of the second size, each painted by François-Joseph Aloncle in blue camaieu, the vase with a landscape vignette on each side, one with figures and buildings, enclosed by trailing flowers entwined with flanking trellis arches, the reverse with a building in a landscape enclosed by a circular band of trailing flowers, between blue line borders with gilt dashes, the rim with a gilt dentil border, the pierced stand with gilt-edged painted blue trellis panels, between trailing flowers and shaped apertures on two registers
