- 22cm. long, 8 5/8 in. by 17cm. high, 6 5/8 in.
the oval form with short cylindrical neck and applied rim, plain loop handle, naturalistically engraved with feathers, above an everted circular foot, the stopper cut and engraved in the form of a duck's head and beak
Catalogue Note
Although decanters and claret jugs in the form of birds, especially parrots, are well-known, the style of this decanter is apparently unrecorded and does not appear in the literature.
