  • the frame 64.5cm. by 25.3cm., 25 3/8 in. by 10 in.
possibly the work of J.D. Imberton, each shaped rectangular form painted with geometric panels of formal scrolling foliage within line borders heightened in gilding, crescent-shaped lower edge, framed

Catalogue Note

These three panels were intended for wall-mounting and the arched lower section presumably was hidden by beading to the edge. They have recently been reframed for hanging purposes.

Although the panels are unsigned, the enamelling is highly reminiscent of the work of J.D.Imberton. For a signed leaded window panel by Imberton see the example sold in these Rooms, 2nd June 2005, lot 124.
