4to (9 x 6 5/8 in.; 228 x 168 mm.). Types 12:64G, 14:130G, 52 lines, initial spaces. collation: a6, b –z, aa – hh8 = 246 leaves including initial blank leaf; light offset from blotting paper usually affecting first and last leaves of each quire. Contemporary bevelled oak boards, remains of clasps and catches, iron hook to be attached to a chain, title label on vellum strip on upper cover; rebacked in antique style with blind-stamped roses, lower hinge coming loose, joints and backstrip rubbed.
