224 volumes in 8s (mostly 9 3/4 x 6 1/2 in.; 228 x 164 mm). Original colorful (often lurid) pictorial wrappers; 4 issues lacking wrappers, 15 others lacking a front or rear wrapper, one issue with a few leaves repaired with tape, some spines repaired with scotch tape, other issues with wear, etc.).

An unusually extensive, though broken, run (including 14 duplicate numbers) of this pulp magazine (1923-1954) - the leading publication in the fantasy-horror genre - in which many of Lovecraft's stories first appeared. This group starts with the February 1925 issue and ends with the July 1953 number. It contains 34 issues from the 1920s, 106 from the 1930s, 62 from the 1940s, and 22 from the 1950s.
