A wonderful association copy, inscribed by Lifar and with an original crayon drawing by Picasso. Lifar has inscribed and signed the half-title with affection for friends in New York, 1978; his signature also appears at the end of the book with some further notes in his hand. The drawing by Picasso appears on the first blank leaf of the book and was probably made for Lifar.
