In 8s (8 5/8 x 5 1/2 in.; 220 x 140 mm). 15 wood-engraved plates, numerous wood-engraved text illustrations, publisher's 4-page advertisement at the end; text offsetting and light browning to plates. Publisher's brown half morocco, marbled boards, endpapers and edges, spine lettered gilt; extremities very worn, some offsetting the front free endpapers.
