Description
Autogtraph letter signed ("Tchaikovsky"), 1 page (8 1/2 x 4 5/8; 210 x 116), in Russian, {no place}, 19 October 1888, to a lady friend, Catherina Ivanovna, asking for her assistance on a "diplomatic" issue; matted and framed with an image of Tchaikovsky
A secret diplomatic mission? Tchaikovsky asks his correspondent if she would be "good enough to take the trouble to carry out a diplomatic mission." Needing to reply to a letter of E. C. Kachkina for which he has no address, Tchaikovsky asks Catherina Ivanovna to contact the individual and schedule a meeting either in his room at the Moscow Hotel, or at his correspondent's residence. He insists nothing having to do with their communication be known.
