Catalogue Note
Number 33 of 50 sets for Great Britain (of a whole edition of 150?). Scarce.
This collection of beautifully printed photographs includes images of RLS with Queen Liliuokalani and King Kalakaua in the palace and at a luau. There are also images of Stevenson with friends in Honolulu, of a portrait bust of him done in Honolulu, and of three important letters.
The contents leaf, signed by Alexander, states that all plates were destroyed.
