Black ribbon (5 x 1 5/8 in.; 127 x 43 mm), with caption "He Hoomanao" and crown stamped in silver gilt, mounted photo of Kalakaua (1 3/8 x 1 in.; 27 x 26 mm) mounted below crown, small white ribbon bow attached to top of mourning ribbon; minimal wear.
