Printed document in English, 4-page bifolium (16 x 10 in.; 452 x 255 mm), accomplished in a secretary hand in Hawaiian, signed ("Kalakaua K.") and countersigned by the Minister of the Interior, Samuel G. Wilder, Honolulu, 29 September 1879, being a land grant of 7 65/100 acres in the district of Kaniahiku, Puna, on the island of Hawaii, in exchange for the sum of $84.15, granted to Shipman & Elderts, affixed with one duty stamp, and a green paper embossed seal bearing the Royal Arms, notarial strick-through in red ink on the verso of the first leaf, diagram showing the parcel of land being granted; one duty stamp perished, leaving glue traces on front of document, paper seal offsetting to blank verso, verso of second leaf with docket browned and stained,  minor fold separations.
