Autograph note signed ("John A. Cummins"), one page on ruled paper 8 x 8 in.; 203 x 203 mm), Honolulu, 25 September 1877, being a receipt of payment from Queen Emma in the amount of $61.80 for supplies and services rendered 5–17 September.

Cummins details a receipt for goods and services rendered to Dowager Queen Emma between 5 and 17 September 1877 amounting to $61.80.  They included: the hire of one Kealokali for the trip, chickens, fish, one case of champagne, three bales of oat hay, and freight on the schooner to Waialua, docketed on the verso; crease folds on verso slightly darkened.
