Catalogue Note

A touch of whimsy from Joseph Stalin.  In response to a very clever request from his daughter Svetlana to go to their summer house in Zubalovo, Stalin provides a jesting answer. Svetlana crafts her request in the form of an official request replete with a little drawing of a seal to formalize it further. In turn, the format of Stalin's reply is consistent with the formality of his daughter's request.
