carved in relief with figures on two levels, on the upper section the three equestrian figures of St. Longinus and Stephaton, the sponge bearer, on the lower section Mary Magdalen kneeling in supplication whilst to the left the swooning figure of the Virgin is held by St. John and a female attendant, to the right two further equestrian figures, on velvet stand
