painted in blue with a continuous scene of two Oriental figures, one holding a bird, flanked by pagodas, trees and flowering plants, the neck with floral sprigs and dots, the rims with formal borders, the rope-twist handle striped in blue, the unmarked pewter cover with a ball thumpiece
