painted in blue with a mirror monogram 'CHP' within an oval foliate scrollwork cartouche surmounted by a crown and flanked by large sprays of Oriental flowers, all between bands of scrolling foliage reserved with flower panels, the handle striped in blue, the pewter mounts unmarked
