the first of rounded rectangular form, the cover painted with mounted huntsmen and their hounds gathering before a grand manor house, the interior with a presentation inscription from German officers to their fencing instructor, dated 1908; the second maker's mark KE, German, further struck: 935, circa 1930, of pocket-fitting form, the cover painted with a huntsman and horse crossing a stream, a lady to follow
