rectangular, the first Louis Kuppenheim, Pforzheim, circa 1900, further struck: 935 and: Sterling, the lid painted in white on a black ground with a Japanese lady and gentleman in traditional robes, the base with a crane, the whole decorated with gold paillons, width 8cm; the second, Franz Schmidt, Vienna, circa 1910, the lid painted after Watteau within a translucent blue key fret border, the base with translucent pale gray over concentric engine-turning, 8.5cm; the third with partial maker's mark ?L, Vienna, circa 1900, the lid painted with an oval view of a draped couple in a classical landscape, bordered with chased strapwork and scrolls, the base with translucent blue enamel, 8.3cm; the third with London import marks, 1927, the lid painted with a pastel sea view, the base with banded wavy engine-turning, 7.8cm
