Catalogue Note
Charles Cooke was the primary mounter of sticks, canes and umbrellas for Brigg and Sons of St. James's Street, London. Initially in business with his brother, John Robert Cooke, until 1888, he is listed at a series of addresses in Soho. His last address, from 1907 to 1916, was 4 Rigmount Street, Bedford Square, where he is listed as a stick mounter. (See J.
