finely intaglio-engraved with a merman holding a cornucopia within a scrolling formal foliate border incorporating fish, shells and tridents, beneath a raised rim

See W.Neuwirth, Lobmeyr. Schöner als Berg Kristall, p.255, pl.604 for an identical example. According to the author the figure is after a model by A.Kühne and the ornamentation was designed by Prof.Storck, before 1875.
